Ingredients
- 2 lbs. beef tenderloin, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons butter
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
- 3 Shallots, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 small can mushrooms
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 16 oz. pkg. egg noodles
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup red wine
Instructions
- Cut beef either in bite-sized cubes or thinly sliced. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add meat and brown on all sides. While meat is still cooking add shallots, garlic and mushrooms, stirring constantly. Stir in flour and beef broth. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Simmer covered for one hour or until meat is tender. When meat is tender, stir in sour cream, wine and salt and pepper. Stir and heat for 10 minutes.
- In a large pot cook egg noodles in salted water. Drain. Serve over egg noodles.
