Viennese Cake
For a quick and super easy Chocolate Swirl Coffee Cake this recipe will take no time at all. When I make this coffee cake; I stir the melted chocolate into the batter quite a bit so that it’s everywhere in the cake. The combination of nuts, chocolate and coconut add to this yummy cake.

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup flaked coconut
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 cups buttermilk baking mix
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup semisweet chocolate pieces, melted
Instructions
- Heat oven to 400 degrees.
- Grease square 8x8x2”pan.
- Stir together coconuts, nuts, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1 tablespoon of melted butter. Set aside.
- Mix baking mix, 1/4 cup sugar, remaining melted butter, egg and milk. Beat vigorously 1 minute. Pour into pan.
- Spoon chocolate over batter, with knife cut through batter several times for a marbled effect. Sprinkle coconut mixture evenly over top.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Serve warm.
